Any Brits on here want to take a look at a fanfic for me in a couple days (should be done around Thursday) and correct my Brit-slang? Writing a Torchwood fic, and worried that I'm butchering English. (Probably helps that I've spent the last three days immersed in the show/audio dramas, but I'd like to make it more valid and ensure I'm not completely wrong in how I'm using things.)

I wrote 10k in half a week. o.O I'm rather proud of myself for that. Finished my first story for apocalyptothon on Saturday, now onto the pinch hit for a fandom that I'm slightly dying to write. I'm kinda amazed at how well these stories are turning out. Both will be made live on the 18th when the challenge deadline hits. May be posting remotely from Otakon, or may have Candie proxy post if I can't get net up in the hotel room.

For anyone going, I'll be staying at the Holiday Inn across the street from the convention center and will be presenting Beyond the Basics: Fanfiction Plot Development and Characterization at 12:45-1:45 in panel room 1 with photoash. ^_^ Otakon tends to be my do nothing but browse artist alley and sit in a corner and write convention, so I'd be more than happy for socialization. Seafood will be had, and for the first time since I think the first year I went back around 2002 or 2003, I'll actually be staying in a hotel close enough that I can go to the yaoi panels! I'm all sorts of excited.

Last Night - Original, male/male, NC-17. Halloween-centric story, lovely and creepy. Loosely based on the plot seed of a Naona Bohra manga. I've always wanted to write a sequel to this, but it's extremely low priority.

Release - Original, male/male, PG-ish. Pirates! I love the darkness in this one, though most of that's going on in the background in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it kinda mode. Also, if I remember correctly, I love the conversation.

A Day in the Life of Edmond Holloway: Watcher, Demonologist, and Sometimes-Oblivious Consort to a Demon - Original, technically set in the Buffy/Angel-verse but without any of the usual characters, male/male, PG-13. I adore this verse beyond words. Really need to get onto writing the sequel, as I love these two characters and eventually they do work into the Sunnydale crew.

Anamnesis - Final Fantasy VII, Sephiroth/Zack/Cloud, PG. I love the style of this, the fractured feeling, though it took forever before I could actually pronounce the title properly.

Redefinition - Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Spike/Xander, NC-17. I <3 this couple beyond words, and I particularly <3 fics involving snarky dialogue and the whole Spike unchipped plot line that tends to creep into fic. At the time I was big into the fandom, there wasn't much of that, so I made my own and still find it quite delicious.

Runners up where Levels of Torture (Bleach, Ulquiorra/Ichigo, mentions of Grimmjow/Ichigo) and In Dreams (Constantine/Morpheus) for their sheer crackness.
